This evening while writing my sound experiences, I became aware of the layering of sounds in my environment: a siren in the distance, a dog barking in response, and noise from the highway, very quickly shifting to home as the refrigerator kicked on and rain began to fall again. My awareness came even closer as I heard my hand moving on the paper and the pen dotting is and crossing ts.
